Can I file taxes after the deadline?

Yes, you can. But, you may be charged interest and penalties for late filing and late payment (if you owe taxes). Instead, if you know you won’t be able to file on time, ask us to apply for an extension on your behalf. Plus, we can also help you to get your returns ready for filing and done correctly to prevent any mishaps with the IRS.

What can I do if I haven’t filed taxes for a few years? Can I still make a settlement with the IRS?

Yes, you can still make arrangements to settle your outstanding debt with the IRS once we help you file your prior years’ returns. In cases where taxes haven’t been filed in years and we get your filing status up-to-date, we can help you negotiate an Offer in Compromise or an Installment Agreement to allow you to pay your back taxes.

What can I do if I file my taxes but don’t have the money to pay?

If you have filed your returns but are unable to pay the taxes due, we can help you negotiate with the IRS. There are several options available based on your circumstances, and we can help you identify the best one to address your specific needs.

What types of tax problems can I face?

As an American taxpayer, there are several tax problems you can face as an individual or as a business owner. For a more detailed listing of what these problems are and how they can affect you, take a look at our Tax Problems page.

What does “tax relief” or “tax resolution” mean?

The IRS offers programs that are intended to help taxpayers with their tax obligations and negotiate what they owe. One such program is the Offer in Compromise which allows taxpayers and the IRS to settle outstanding liabilities for less than the full amount owed. If you qualify, you can, therefore, get a tax relief via this program with the IRS. Other programs include installment agreements, currently non-collectible status, penalty abatement, audit representation. These programs can help resolve wage garnishments, tax levies, tax liens and other tax problems with the IRS. We can review your circumstances to find a tax resolution option that you would be able to take advantage of.

Do I have to speak to the IRS if you take my case?

No. We handle all communication with the IRS on your behalf.
